This is our new premises in 20 - 22 St Mary's Chare, Hexham. We were very impressed when we first saw the shop. Without our antiques in situ the place looked just how an antique shop should look. The stone walls, the beams, the old fireplace, the Georgian windows, the list just goes on and on. We had some fantastic signs made by Robin Watson of Corbridge. Robin stood back after erecting the signs and said "You know what Michael? I've always said this shop should have been an antique shop and now that's what it is". The people in Hexham have been so kind and supportive saying, 'You will be good for Hexham', 'This is just what Hexham needs'. We hope they are right in what they say. We hope to be able to continue to trade in Hexham and to be good for Hexham.
We have a selection of dealers who have joined us, one who deals in vintage/retro furniture and accessories, a lady who deals in antiques who is also interested in ceramics. Those customers who like jewellery may be interested to know that we have a gentlemen who makes his own jewellery but also designs his own metalwork which is for sale and also for hire for weddings and other decorative events. We also have the opportunity to work with an incredibly talented interior designer who has created and patented his own wall coverings, paint , mouldings and much more, so we welcome anyone interested in re-creating a room or house in any style whether period or contemporary.
Our aim is to save the past for the future and any quality dealers who have the same aims as us are very welcome. We have a selection of floor space and cabinet space available.

Instinct Antiques began because of a nurtured passion and love of antiques. We are a small business and only purchase items for their patina, colour and uniqueness.
We also place emphasis on exceptional and fine quality. We hope our items meet your interior requirements.
Our aim is to bring you that special something through a developed love of beautiful objects, seen through a keen eye for quality. We only acquire items that we ourselves would personally choose and hope our tastes satisfy your own.
All of our items are 'hand picked' and our emphasis is on quality. We must remember that we sell items up to and over 100 years old. None of our items are new and although quality is at the forefront the items are old.
